I like to search for spirit. Like other explorers, I use glass. But not utilized as microscopes, telescopes or crystal balls. My glass is scattered, smeared, cast into molds, fired, ground with sharp objects and fired again. Glass allows me to play with contradiction and contrast, to discover and mark my findings, and build layers of information which track the journey. While I explore various subjects, I alway return to the female form. The project of developing a vocabulary of symbols which reference the body but renders response beyond, is a constant fascination to me.
